Learn to Surf at WhiteWater World

WhiteWater World rolls out yet another Australian (and Southern Hemisphere) first - Learn to Surf School! Regardless of age or skill (from 6 to 60), everyone can feel the rush of riding a wave! Lessons are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 8.00am-10.00am, PLUS ALL NEW NIGHT LESSONS outside of the park’s normal operating hours.

After an action packed day of thrills on the rides and slides, WhiteWater World cranks up the Cave of Waves for a surf lesson like no other.

With exclusive use of the wave pool, our surf lessons are held under lights after the park closes, several times a week. So come and chill out on those hot summer nights and Get Wet.

Terms & Conditions

  • 2 hour classes are held 3 days a week 8.00am till 10.00am for ages 6 to 60.
  • Maximum class size of 16 with 2 fully qualified coaches and a lifeguard in attendance.
  • Designated pick up points on the Gold Coast are appointed at the time of booking like.

Graham Pendergrast, South Australia 9/12/2009 We were lucky enough to participate in the Surfing lesson at White Water World before the park opened for normal business. I had to write to you to express our appreciation of this concept.

As parents with 2 young daughters we found the concept of learning in the wave pool made it possible for the four of us to participate together in a controlled safe environment. There was no concerns with the safety of our daughters, the waves were absolutely consistent and we were first in line for the rides when the park opened after our lesson.

The consistent waves meant that all four of us were up surfing quickly and gaining confidence. All of us were then eager to try our new skills in the open sea on our next lesson. Andy & Scott took us on both lessons. Their laid back manner was clear and easy to understand making it a happy experience. My wife is now looking to find a board and continue surfing back in SA this summer.

At the end of the lesson we enjoyed reviewing the photos they took through the lesson (about 100 photos on a USB).

People new to surfing need to hear about this option because it really made life easy.

The whole package was a perfect fit for a family with young kids and being linked with the 2 day world pass was value for money. Well done for a great concept.
